rePete integrates with Attentive to help you coordinate messaging across both platforms. When connected, rePete sends real-time events to Attentive so you can build segments based on rePete activity and ensure customers are not receiving overlapping messages from both tools at the same time.
How it works
Once connected, rePete automatically sends the following events to Attentive:
Event | Data included |
rePete Nudge Sent | Time, customer, nudge type (email or SMS) |
rePete Order Placed | Time, customer, products, order total |
You can use these events to build segments in Attentive and reference those segments when creating journeys or campaigns.
Requirements
rePete installed on your Shopify store
An active Attentive account
Setup
To connect Attentive to rePete, follow the steps below.
In the rePete admin, navigate to the Integrations page.
Find the Attentive integration and click Login to your Attentive account.
Follow the prompts to log in and connect rePete to Attentive.
Once the integration is connected successfully, you will be redirected to the rePete admin.
Once connected, rePete will automatically sync events to Attentive as they occur. Events will not appear in Attentive immediately, they will show up after they have been triggered on rePete's side. For example, the rePete Nudge Sent event will appear in Attentive after rePete has sent a nudge to a customer.
Using rePete events in Attentive
Create a rePete segment
You can create segments in Attentive based on rePete activity. A common use case is building a segment of customers who have recently received a rePete nudge or placed a rePete order, then excluding that segment from other Attentive campaigns to avoid sending overlapping messages.
Use rePete segments in journeys
When building a journey in Attentive, you can reference the rePete segments you have created to include or exclude customers based on their rePete activity or even use these events as triggers.
Important considerations
rePete events begin syncing automatically once the integration is connected. No additional configuration is required to start receiving events in Attentive. However, in order to see your first event within Attentive it must first be triggered within rePete. If you do not see the rePete events right away, they have likely not fired yet and had a chance to sync with Attentive.
rePete continues to send its own nudge messages when this integration is enabled. Use the rePete segments you create in Attentive to exclude customers from campaigns where overlap could occur.
