Use Price-Based Shipping Rates in Cashier

Follow

Pro Tip

If you want to offer free shipping, set a rate of $0 and no maximum value, and choose the free shipping option.

An option in Bold Cashier is to use price-based rates for shipping. This is ideal for offering shipping discounts for customers who spend more in your store (i.e. Free Shipping if you spend $50 or more).

To set this up, please follow these steps:

  1. From Shopify's admin, select Apps.

    select apps

  2. Select Bold Cashier.

    select cashier

  3. Select Shipping, then Shipping Zones.

    Shipping/Shipping Zones

  4. Select Create Zone.

    Create Zone

  5. Enter a zone name and select your countries.

    Enter Name/Select Countries

  6. Ensure Enable carrier-calculated rates is not selected.

    Carrier Calculated Disabled

  7. Under "Price-based rates", select Add Rate.

    Add Price Rate

  8. Adjust your rate settings accordingly.

    Adjust Settings

  9. Select Save.

    Save Price Settings

  10. Select Save.

    Save Rate

That's it!

  • Hello
Is it possible to edit the price-based rates for shipping in each local currencies? For example, for the Swiss market, I would like to set the price in CHF (swiss francs) and for the Danish market, in DKK.
    Thanks in advance

  • Hey Frédéric!

Thanks so much for reaching out :) Unfortunately you're not able to set price based shipping rates on a per-currency basis. However, Cashier will convert whatever rates you set within the app, into the currency that your customer is paying in.

For example: You have a 10 dollar shipping rate in your store's default currency, you have a customer paying with a currency that converts at a 1.5 times rate, that customer would pay 15 dollars for shipping in their currency.

Please let us know if you have any further questions from here (support@boldcommerce.com) and our Merchant Success team will be more than happy to assist!

    Cheers,
