Enable Cashier


Bold Cashier must be enabled on your site to process orders through its checkout.

To enable Cashier, please follow these steps:

  1. From Shopify's admin, select Apps.

    select apps

  2. Select Bold Cashier.

    select cashier

  3. Select Settings, then General Settings.

  4. Select Turn Cashier On.

  5. Cashier is now enabled. Select Use Cashier only when required by plugins (optional). Learn more about partially enabled (plugin) mode.

    Note: When this option is enabled, Cashier will only process orders that are using one of the app's Integrations. For example: if a customer is placing an order in their desired currency, this order will be processed through Cashier. If they pay using the store's default currency, then this will be processed through the Shopify checkout.

    Use Cashier With Plugins

    If you have the Shopify Discount Connector enabled along with the "Use Cashier only when required by plugins" option, there's a small coding fix required. Please contact our Merchant Success team for further assistance with this fix.

  • This doesn't seem to work for me. My store defaults to Cashier regardless of the currency selected. Are there any other settings that need to be considered?

    Thanks so much for reaching out :) Depending on how your payment gateway is set-up, it may also be accepting your store's default currency for payments through Cashier. However, without being able to take a look at your store directly, its tough to say what's for sure occurring on the site.
