In this article, we will answer questions regarding Bold Cashier's transaction fees, including the fees you will be charged, whether or not Shopify's fees will be charged, how to update your credit card, and more.
- There is no monthly fee associated with Cashier.
- There is a transaction fee on all orders that pass through Cashier's checkout.
- Payment gateway fees also apply, most gateways charge 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction, but it does vary.
For orders that are processed through Cashier, you will not be charged Shopify's transaction fees.
Shopify may charge fees (0.5 to 2%) for transactions processed through their checkout if you are not using Shopify payments and are not on a Shopify Plus plan.
There are no added fees or hidden costs with Bold Cashier. Some plugins may charge an additional transaction fee.
Currently, there is only one plugin that charges an additional fee:
With Stripe, this fee is taken off before your revenue is deposited into your bank account. This means the revenue you receive every month is after all fees have been taken off. We send a summary of the fees that you paid, for the previous month, on the first of every month.
BrainTree (and all other Supported Payment Gateways) don’t support that fee structure. In order to integrate our fee into these other payment gateways, we must charge our fee after your revenue has already been deposited into your account. We do this with a monthly charge to your credit card. This will be charged on the 1st of every month, at approximately 10am CST.
Cashier will not refund its transaction fees. The fees that Cashier takes are charges for using the app's service. These are deposited to Bold Commerce on a regular interval and are non-refundable.
If we are not able to charge your credit card for the transaction fees, you will receive an email letting you know. If we are not able to charge your credit transaction fees for multiple months in a row, we may remove access and turn off functionality of Bold Cashier.
To update your credit card, please follow these steps:
- From Shopify's admin, Select Apps.
- Select Bold Cashier.
- Select Account, then Stored Credit Card.
- Select Edit.
- Enter you Credit Card Number, Expiry Date and CVV.
- Select Save.
