Custom Checkout Hostname Setup

Warning!

This customization involves changing your DNS settings if you aren't comfortable with this, please do not attempt it. You can request this customization by emailing our Professional Services Team.

To set up a custom checkout hostname in Cashier, follow these steps:

  1. From "Shopify Admin", select Apps.
  2. Select Cashier.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select General Settings.
  5. Scroll down to "Custom Checkout Hostname Settings".
  6. Select the "Your custom checkout hostname will be disabled" Toggle to enable it.

    Note: The toggle will be green when enabled and gray when disabled.

  7. Enter the Custom Checkout Hostname.

    Note: Changing your website DNS settings could result in lost access to your main store, email, etc. If you're not comfortable managing DNS settings please avoid using this feature, or email our Professional Services Team and we'll help you get set up.

  8. Select Save Hostname.

Note: You will need to go into your DNS settings and set up a CNAME for the hostname pointing at the target we provided.  If you are not comfortable with your DNS settings, email our Professional Services Team.
