About Custom Pricing

Custom Pricing offers a variety of feature rich plans and supports quantity breaks as well as customer-specific pricing.

Custom Pricing’s Select plan ($20/month) is available for stores who require quantity breaks only. Quantity breaks are also available with other plans that include customer-specific pricing, such as the Standard Select, and Premium Select plans.

For more information about the features included in each price plan, please visit Customer Pricing Overview & Pricing.

Custom Pricing versions

Custom Pricing is available in three different discounting versions:

  • Variant Dependant Method (V1)
  • Draft Order Method (V2)
  • Accelerated Method (V3)

Accelerated Method (V3) is installed by default, however, it’s important to note that the Variant Dependent Method (V1) uses the same discount method as your current Quantity Breaks (Standalone) app. The Variant Dependent Method (V1) applies discounts to your products by creating hidden variants. The Draft Order Method (V2) and Accelerated Method (V3) apply discounts using Shopify draft orders — no additional variants are created.

There are various benefits and limitations to each version. To determine which method is best for you, please visit Discount Methods and How to Switch.

Migrate from Quantity Breaks to Custom Pricing

Migrating requires you to turn off your groups in Quantity Breaks (standalone) and uninstall the app. During the migration, your existing quantity breaks will be inactive until they are synced in Custom Pricing. For the smoothest migration possible, it’s best to take note of your current active and inactive quantity breaks groups so that you can remove any that aren't needed.

Pro-tip: If you have a custom grid in Quantity Breaks, you can copy and save your custom code to use in Custom Pricing. For more information, please visit Customize the Quantity Break Display for Custom Pricing.

To migrate your existing Quantity Breaks groups into Custom Pricing, please follow the instructions below.

  1. In Quantity Breaks, navigate to the Quantity Breaks Groups page.
  2. Review your groups, and take note of any that are not needed.
  3. Turn off all active groups, and wait for the sync to complete.
