Bold Checkout is a world-class checkout solution that allows you to maintain PCI compliance on your Magento 1 store without the need to replatform.

Adobe ended support for their Magento 1.x ecommerce platform on June 30, 2020. Since that date, Magento 1 merchants have been responsible for their own security and fraud compliance.

Bold Checkout provides a flexible solution to allow you to maintain your store security and continue using Magento 1.

Alert: Bold's focus remains on basic integration support for Bold-Hosted Checkout, with no immediate plans for extensive Magento integration expansion or platform-level modifications.

Checkout options & installation

Bold-hosted checkout — Use the proven Bold Checkout three-page checkout experience or simplified one-page checkout experience. The recommended and easiest way to use Bold Checkout on Magento 1.

Supported Magento versions

Bold Checkout supports both the Community Edition and Enterprise Edition of Magento 1. The following versions of Magento 1 are supported:

• Version 1.9
• Version 1.8
• Version 1.7
• Version 1.6
• Version 1.5
• Version 1.4

Pricing

Bold Checkout is free to use when connected to either the PayPal Commerce Platform (PPCP) or Braintree payment gateways.

If you would like to use a payment gateway other than the PPCP or Braintree, there is a transaction fee of 1% on all orders completed through Bold Checkout.
