Create a Shopify Staff Account

In order for our team to complete a Liquid code install or help troubleshoot any issues, we may require access to your Shopify Admin. If you already have a staff account with Bold that includes a different email address than the one within this article, please remove it.

This article will show you how to create a staff account and provide access to Bold. If you'd like more information on changing your staff member permissions, please visit Shopify's Help Center.


If an active Collaborator account for Bold Commerce is already present on your store, a staff account will not be needed from our Merchant Success team.




  • Only the Shopify account owner can create a staff account.
  • Depending on the app and support request, we may need access to additional areas.
    1. From the Shopify admin, select Settings.
    2. Select Users and permissions.
    3. Select Add staff.

    4. Enter a First name, Last name, and Email address.

      Note: Many stores enter the first name as Bold, the last name as Support. The email address needs to be

    5. Select the following permissions:
      • Orders
      • Products
      • Customers
      • Themes
      • Navigation
      • Manage settings
      • Manage and install apps and channels


    6. Select Send Invite.
