We have fun building apps with store owners in mind because we're Shopify store owners too. Having said that, we're sorry to see you want to cancel your subscription to our service.
Some of the common reasons a store owner removes an app are:
- they have questions about how the app works,
- they are confused by the instructions,
- they are nearing the end of the app trial; or
- they are having trouble using the app.

Several Bold apps have the ability to create products, variants, change product pricing or apply recurring charges. These offers must first be stopped within the app to ensure they are stopped when the app is removed.
To turn these offers off, please open the Bold app you were using, and turn off any change that was made within the app. This can usually be completed by selecting the on/off toggle:
Making these adjustments will look different depending on which app your are using.
Within Bold Upsell - Navigate to the Current Offers page, and set the toggle switches to off within this area.
Within Bold Subscriptions - Navigate to Subscriptions > My Subscriptions to set the toggle switches off within this area.
Within Bold Memberships - Navigate to Recurring Memberships > Settings and disconnect the payment gateway(s).
We understand our apps may not be the perfect fit for every store. If you have decided that this app is not for you and are sure you want to uninstall, follow these instructions:
- From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
- Select App and sales channel settings.
- Beside the app you'd like to uninstall, select Remove.
- Let us know why you’re removing the app. (Optional)
- Select Delete.
As soon as the Bold app has been removed from your store within the Shopify admin, the monthly billing will stop immediately and will not renew.
Liquid code that has been added to your store's theme files for Bold will not automatically be removed when the app is uninstalled. This is a limitation with Shopify that does not allow this adjustment once the app is removed.
The code that was added to your theme should not affect your store unless you're looking to install another app with similar functionality. If this is the case, it would be best to have the Bold app code removed from your store.
If you created a backup theme on your store before installing the Bold app code, you can simply republish your backup theme as it would not have Bold code.
Removing the app code can be done manually, or completed by our installation expert team.
Within our Help Center, all of the apps have a manual installation guide. To manually remove the code from your theme, you could go through the specific app install instructions and remove the code found on your store.
Note: Please complete manual code removals on a backup theme on your store. Manual code removals require knowledge of the Shopify liquid code.
