Donations Manager Liquid Install Instructions

Getting Started

Before installing, review our Notes Before Installing. This article can help get you prepared, and answers many common questions.

Difficulty: Easy | Time Required: 5 to 10 minutes

Section 1: Edit the Product.liquid file

This line of code will add the donation goal bar.

Anywhere within the product.liquid, add this code: (put it where you would like the progress bar to appear)

{% include 'bold-da-bar' with product %}
  • Generally you'll put this immediately after the product.description div.
  • Some themes use a snippet for the entire product page or parts of it. If you don't see it in your templates check the Snippets folder too.

Within the product.liquid, add this code:

{% include 'bold-donations' with product %}

There will be a few elements on the product page that you should hide if it's a donation product. For example Price, Related Products etc... Add the following code before or after any elements that should not appear on the page if it's a donation product

{% unless product.metafields.bold_donation.donation_key == 1 %}

...this is the existing code for stuff you want hidden...
{% endunless %}

(optional) Display goal and donation widget elsewhere
