Customer Pricing Variants/Pricing are Visible on the Storefront

When Customer Specific Pricing Variants and/or Pricing are visible on the storefront it's usually because important metadata on one or more of the apps variants has been removed.

This can be caused by:

  • The apps variant was modified manually in the product section of Shopify.
  • An import was initiated in Shopify without Customer Specific Pricing being paused.
  • The product and variants were duplicated from another product that had Customer Specific Pricing applied to it.
  • Another app may have affected a product and caused the app's metadata to be cleared.

If you have verified that the Customer Specific Install Instructions were all completed properly, follow these steps to fix the problem:

  1. From "Shopify Admin", select Apps.
  2. Select Customer Pricing (Wholesale & VIP Pricing).

    Note: The "Product Pricing Groups" page should display by default, if not navigate to Customer Pricing -> Product Pricing Groups.

  3. Under "Status", select the toggle.

    Note: The toggle will show as green when it's running and gray when it's paused. Pausing the app should remove the app's variants from the associated products.

  4. Wait until this process has completed.

    Note: This takes approximately 1 hour per 1000 variants.

  5. Select Products.

  6. Select a product you were seeing this issue with.

  7. Under "Variants", look for any Customer Specific Pricing variants that are still showing.

  8. Next to each of these variants, select Delete.

  9. Select Apps.

  10. Select Customer Pricing (Wholesale & VIP Pricing).

    Note: The "Product Pricing Groups" page should display by default, if not navigate to Customer Pricing -> Product Pricing Groups.

  11. Under "Status", select the toggle.

That's it! The toggle will now show green to indicate that it is running.

Note: If you have many variants that need to be deleted, it may be a good idea to export all of your products as a CSV file, mass delete the extra variants in Excel, and re-import the products. Visit Importing and exporting products for more details.
