Bulk Import Prices into Customer Specific Pricing (Premium Feature)

** IMPORTANT **

Before beginning, ensure that all store products have a SKU entered
You will need to be on the Premium Customer Pricing Plan ($49.99/month) for this functionality
Stores that have a customized setup combining Customer Pricing and Quantity Breaks cannot import pricing with this method.

1 - Export Products from Shopify

From Shopify admin > Products > Export
(Typically, you will want all products, and export as a CSV for Excel)

Depending on the number of products in the store, the CSV file may be directly downloaded or an email sent to the shop owner.  In the email, a link would be included to download the file.

2 - Edit the CSV file

Open the CSV file in Excel, or other spreadsheet software.

Delete all columns, except:
- Handle
- Variant SKU
- Variant Price

3 - Add Customer Pricing tags

To the right of the Variant Price column, add additional columns for each tag (customer price group). For example, if you just have a Wholesale tag, just add 1 column, with the header Wholesale.  If you have Gold, Silver, Bronze membership levels, add 3 columns.

4 - Enter Pricing

Under these columns, enter the exact price for that variant.
You can also use regular spreadsheet formulas based on the variant price to calculate a price.
If the variant price is in cell C2, and the wholesale price is 25% off the variant price, is to appear in cell D2, a formula of =C2*.75 can be entered in cell E2

(optional) If you do not want a specific price to be created for a tag/variant combination, leave that cell blank.

5 - Delete Variant Price Column

After all the pricing has been entered, delete the variant price column.

6 - Save the CSV file

Save the file, keeping the CSV file format. Take note of where the file is saved. (Save to your desktop for easy finding)

7 - Import File

From the Customer Pricing app, click on Customer Pricing > Bulk Pricing Import
)

Click the Choose File button. A window will open. Navigate to where the CSV file was saved, such as the desktop. Click Upload.

8 - Assign CSV file headers to Customer Pricing attributes

The next screen will prompt to match the column headers to the Customer Pricing (CSP) attributes. Once the selections have been made from the dropdown, click Start Importing.

9 - App adds pricing and variants

The app will start the process of creating the pricing variants. Depending on the number of products and variants that need to be created, this can take some time to complete. General rule of thumb we use is about 1 hour per 1000 variants.
