Remove the Customer Pricing Tag from Shopify's Email Notifications

Shopify's order confirmation emails will generally display the customer pricing tags that are associated with a specific product.

In most cases, these tags don't provide much information to your customers who are already aware they are wholesale purchasers.

To remove the customer pricing tag on a variant name from your Shopify emails, please follow these steps:

  1. From Shopify's admin, select Settings.

    Note: This is in the bottom left corner of your Shopify admin.

    Select Settings in the very bottom left corner of your Shopify admin

  2. Select Notifications.

    Select Notifications from the list of settings in the center of the screen

  3. Under "Orders", select Order confirmation.

    Under the Orders header, select Order Confirmation from the list of notification templates

  4. Find the following line of code:

    {{ line.title }}

    Find the line.title piece of code within this email template

  5. Replace it with:

    {{ line.title | remove: "(####)" }}

    Replace the previous line of code with the above snippet of code

  6. Replace #### with the customer pricing tag you want to hide.

    Replace the four octothorpes (####) in the previous line of code with the name of the tag you want to hide from the confirmation email

  7. Select Save.

    Select Save in the top right corner of the email template screen

Next Steps:

  • Your order confirmation emails should be tested to confirm that this is displaying correctly. Visit Placing a Test Order (links to Shopify) for more information on how to create a test order to trigger your confirmation emails.
