Who can use Inviid?
Inviid is designed to be easy to use for Shopify store owners wanting to build an interactive shopping experience inside any video. Our point-and-click video player makes it easy for anyone to create product links inside existing videos or ones shot specifically with Inviid in mind.
How much does it cost to use Inviid?
You will only be billed if Inviid converts sales in the video. Inviid will charge a 2% fee on any new orders purchased through the Inviid player, but you'll get the first 30 days completely commission free!
Where can my interactive video experience be shared?
Once you're done adding products to your video, you can embed your now shoppable video to your website, blog, or just about anywhere else by easily copying and pasting one line of code. Videos can also be viewed on all devices including browsers, phones and tablets with the only exception being iPhones where the flat video is displayed instead (we're currently working on an iOS app that will solve this issue).
Can tags be things other than the default product tag circle?
Our Inviid Shopify app customers can upload a custom square SVG file to represent the in-video tags they create. All other icons are standardized to ensure the icons provide useful information to viewers.
Can I resize the Inviid overlay?
The inviid overlays are built with a responsive structure that will resize automatically depending on the content they contain. How do I measure the success of an Inviid video? The Inviid platform provides analytics about your videos including views, clicks and shares while also tracking your most popular videos, purchases and add-to-carts. This way you can accurately measure user engagement and ROI for all your videos. We are also working on giving you advanced analytics so you can track video drop off, retention and engagement to allow you to further improve conversions on all your views.
What if my videos aren't already hosted on YouTube?
Inviid is a video player that currently only supports YouTube hosted media. While we're working on a solution to provide our users with more options, we only support YouTube for the time being.
Where can I publish the videos I've created with Inviid?
Inviid videos can be republished anywhere that you have access to publish embeded code. Unfortunately this means Inviid videos are not capable of being played back on most social media platforms, with an easy work-around of creating and sharing a link to your video on your site.
Can I embed Inviid videos on my website?
Yes! Inviid videos are intended to be embedded on websites, blogs, product pages, etc.
What if I want to change the content of my tags after I have published?
Any video can be edited at any time, even after you've posted or shared the link to your video. We actually suggest our users update and tweak video tags and placements after they've had a chance to review the stats and user engagement to increase their sales.
Can I tag anything else other than my products in my videos?
At the moment the only thing you can tag are products currently in your Shopify store to easily highlight the items at the point of interest. However, we are working hard to introduce new tags that will allow you to further engage and communicate with your users through video. If you have any integrations that you think would be useful please email your idea at email@example.com.
How do I create tags in my video?
You will only have the ability to create tags in your video if you are logged into your Shopify store. Once you are in the app admin, open the video in edit mode and you can easily start creating tags by clicking the + icon.
How do I tag a tweet in my video?
Follow the instructions above, starting by clicking the + icon. You can choose to draw the animated point or add it to the snap-to-border area. It will then ask you what kind of point you want to create (Shopify or Twitter). Once you select Twitter, either paste in the link to the tweet (right-click on the time and choose "copy link”) or the link to your Twitter profile page.
What are the different states of a tag?
There are currently two ways to tag your videos:
- Click and hold to set up static tags that stay in one static location throughout the video.
- You can click and drag to highlight a product as it moves through the video
- Snap to border, where you can hover on the side of a video and click within a blue slide-out box to have your products appear at the side of the video player (a great option for existing videos that may move too quickly to showcase your products as they appear).
Where does my customer get redirected when they want to purchase a product?
Inviid has been built to reduce all friction involved in purchasing your products. Your customer will be able to view the video, add products to the cart, click on the cart and then complete the whole eCommerce transaction all within the video itself. This streamlined approach will optimize your conversion rate, resulting in more sales!
Why can't I get remove of ads when my video is playing?
The ads that you see on your video are returned by the YouTube platform to monetize your videos. Since Youtube doesn't separate the ad from the video stream, Inviid can't properly identify the ads on video to allow you to remove them while watching it through the Inviid player. We highly recommend going into your YouTube account and turning off advertisements on your videos to ensure the optimal Inviid viewing experience.
Why do I need to provide my Storefront Password?
The Inviid app uses the storefront password to retrieve data about the product and the cart from Shopify. Providing the password will ensure that the products are properly displayed while people are viewing the video. If the password is not provided in the Settings page, users that know the password may enter it when prompted; this will allow them to view the product but cannot add any products to the cart. The cart functionality in the inviid player will not work properly with Shopify stores that are password protected. The inviid player retrieves information about the cart by making a call to the store and it cannot do so when there is a password protecting the store.
