Before your member customers can purchase their membership, we need to connect to a payment processing gateway. Recurring Memberships integrates with both Stripe and Paypal. In this article, we will walk you through on how to connect both gateways.
From the Memberships app home page, click General Settings. From here, you can connect your Stripe (recommended) or Paypal account to the Memberships app, and start getting paid! You are able to connect one or both gateways! It all depends on how you want your members to pay.
Connect your Stripe account
Click Connect Stripe Account.
You will be redirected to Stripe's website to grant permissions to Bold -- specifically to the Membership app, to create and manage your members and payments.
Click Connect my Stripe account. You will be redirected back to the Membership app, showing your Stripe email address currently connected to the app.
Connect your Paypal account
If you do not have a Paypal account, you can create one for free at www.paypal.com.
NOTE: Your Paypal account must be a business or premier account to connect.
Using Memberships on more than 1 store? You will need to create a unique Paypal account for each store.
Click Connect Paypal Account.
You will be redirected to Paypal's website to grant permissions to Bold - specifically to the Memberships app. These permissions allow the app to authenticate your Paypal account, complete automated tasks of creating customer profiles and manage payments.
Click Grant permissions. You will be redirected back to the Memberships app, showing the Paypal account email currently connected.
