Using these features allows you to create Recurring Orders discount codes in mass, and we also allow you to easily export them in CSV format to use easily with other applications and services!
Using this feature does require a previous knowledge of how our recurring discount codes work, and how to create them to do exactly what you want!
You might be very familiar with Shopify's discount codes, but as ours apply to recurring orders - there are a few more settings to become familiar with.
Notes: Click on any un-zoomed image to open in a new window.
Please read the article below to learn more before using this feature:
When in the Recurring Orders app, find 'Discount Codes' in the tabs along the top of the app and click!
When creating a 'Recurring Orders' discount code, you have 3 options: You can create a Standard Discount, a Cancellation Discount, or a Bulk Discount Group.
You can find the new Bulk Discount Group in the drop down box that says 'Discount Type'.
A new area will appear below that says 'Bulk Creation Options'.
You have two format options when creating bulk discount groups:
1) A numerical series, (001, 002, 003, Etc)
2) A random series of characters
Only you will know what's best for you and your customers, so choose either option!
Whatever code you put in the 'Discount Code' box will be the prefix for your bulk discount codes.
We suggest codes in all capital characters, and of course no spacing.
Once you've chosen the functionality of your discount codes, the prefix, and format of the bulk discount code group, you can click 'Save Discount Code'.
You can view, manage, and make changes to your bulk discount code groups later on.
You are able to view the contents of your bulk discount code group easily by clicking 'View List'; and narrow down your search to just your 'Bulk Group' for easy finding if you have lots of discount codes.
If you make a mistake in creating you bulk discount group, you can choose to 'Delete ALL', and try again.
If you click on 'View List', when viewing the description of your bulk discount group, a module window will pop up.
Once it loads, it will display (with scroll and pagination) all your discount codes that have been created within this group.
Note: If your # of discount codes is large, this module window may take a small amount of time to load.
Here you are able to view when a discount code has been used, whether it is active or inactive, disable it, or delete it entirely.
Notice the search feature in the top right corner? Easily type in a discount code you've seen in a recent Shopify order, and it will bring you to the exact code.
When viewing your list of discount codes within a group, there is an 'Export This List To CSV' button in the top right hand corner.
Clicking this will instantly initiate a download of the CSV document onto your computer, which you can then open in the appropriate program.
The CSV will contain a full list of all discount codes in that bulk group, and whether they are enabled or disabled.
