By default, all products added to subscriptions groups are available for subscription and one-time purchase. If you would like to offer the product for subscription only, you can remove the one-time purchase option from within Shopify.
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to make a product available for subscription only.

Setting your product to subscription-only removes the one-time purchase option from the subscription widget. Customers will only be able to purchase your product as a subscription.

Note: Products must belong to a subscription group before they can be set to subscription-only. Please create your subscription group(s) before following the steps below.
To remove the one-time purchase option, please follow these steps:
- In your Shopify admin, navigate to Products.
- Find a product that belongs to a subscription group, and click on the product name to access the settings.
Note: If the product belongs to a convertible subscription group, find the initial product.
- Scroll down to the Purchase options section.
- Check the box next to Only sell this product as a subscription.
- Click Save.
