Upgrade to Loyalty Points Version 2

Overview

Loyalty Points offers a new version of the app for download. If you're currently using the original version of Loyalty Points, you can now upgrade to Version 2.

Note: To update your current version of Loyalty Points, you'll need to uninstall your current version and re-install the new version. This guide is separated into these two parts.

To update your app version, please follow these steps:

  1. From Shopify's admin, select Apps.

    Select the Apps option on the left-hand side of your Shopify admin

  2. Select Bold Loyalty Points.

  3. Select Customers.

    From Loyalty Points' top navigation bar, select Customers

  4. Select Export.

    In the far-right corner, select Export

  5. Select the CSV file and open with Excel or comparable software.

    Note: We strongly suggest making a copy of this exported file. The next step will instruct you to delete information from this export.

  6. Delete all columns, except:
    • Email Address
    • Points Balance

  7. Change the Email Address and Points Balance fields to Email and Balance.

  8. Select Save.

  9. Navigate back to Loyalty Points and select Program Settings.

    From Loyalty Points' top navigation bar, select Program Settings

  10. Select Base Reward Points.

    From the Program Settings dropdown menu, select Base Reward Points (second from the top)

  11. Note your reward point values.

    Note: We suggest recording these in a notepad or similar software. These values will become important when you set up your loyalty program in version 2.

  12. Select Settings.

    From Loyalty Points' top navigation bar, select Settings

  13. Select Global Settings.

    From the Settings dropdown menu, select Global Settings (third from the top)

  14. Select the toggle switch on the "Program is active for this shop" button to disable your loyalty program.

    Within the Program Status section in the top-left corner, select the Program is Active for This Shop toggle to turn off the loyalty program

  15. Select Save.

    In the top-right corner, select Save

  16. Contact our Merchant Success team and request a code removal.
  17. From Shopify's admin, select Apps.

  18. Next to "Bold Loyalty Points", select Delete.

    Find Bold Loyalty Points, and select the trash can icon to the very right of the app to delete it

  19. Select Uninstall.

    In the bottom-right corner of the pop-up window, select Uninstall

Version 1 has now been successfully removed from your store.

To continue upgrading to Version 2, please follow these steps:

  1. From Shopify's admin, select Apps.

    Select the Apps option on the left-hand side of your Shopify admin

  2. Select Visit Shopify App Store.

    In the top-right corner, select Visit Shopify App Store

  3. Enter "Bold Loyalty Points" in the search bar.

    In the search bar near the top, enter in Bold Loyalty Points

  4. Select the search icon.

  5. Select Bold Loyalty Points & Rewards.

  6. Select Add app.

    Underneath the title, select Add App

  7. Select Log in.

    In the bottom-right corner, select Log In to log into your Shopify store

  8. Select Continue With Latest Version.

    On the left side underneath Latest Version, select Continue With Latest Version

  9. Select Install app.

    In the bottom-right corner, select Install App

  10. Choose Select Plan on the plan that fits your store's needs.

    Note: Visit Price Tiers & Features for more information on the app's plan tiers.

    Under your desired plan tier, choose Select Plan

  11. Select Approve charges.

    On the right-hand side, select Approve Charges

  12. Select Accept and Continue.

    In the top-right corner, select Accept and Continue to accept the Terms and Conditions

  13. Set up a loyalty program.

    Note: We strongly suggest leaving your program turned off until you're able to make additional edits in the next steps.

  14. Import your customers into Loyalty Points.
