Bold Upsell is not capable of automatically offering a lower-value product for free. The app is designed to function based on the triggers that are set when you create the offer. Therefore, the product you set as the offer product will always be offered at regular value.

However, if you use Bold Upsell and Bold Discounts V1 to set up a buy one, get one (BOGO) offer on your store, you can discount a product by a value that you set (ie. 100%), and use that as the offer product.

To ensure customers only receive the discounted product if they keep the trigger product in their cart, toggle the "Automatically remove items from the cart if the trigger or conditions are unmet" option.

Visit Create a Buy One, Get One Offer for more information on how to set this up.

Alternatively, Bold Bundles Premium can be used to create BOGO offers that will automatically discount the cheaper product.

No, there is no limit to the number of offers that you can configure using Bold Upsell! Creating several highly-targeted offers is the best way to drive conversions.

If no trigger products or minimum spending amount are set, the offer will display at every action set by the trigger of the offer.

For example, any time a product is added to the cart (or a customer goes to the checkout), the offer product will display.

Over-selling and backorders can be prevented by using the "Hide products that are out of stock (i.e. Don't allow backorders)" checkbox in the last step of the offer creation screen.
