Bold Subscriptions offers integrations with different payment gateways to connect through the app. Each payment gateway has various benefits, and we strongly suggest investigating each gateway further to see which will best support your business.
The Bold recurring checkout requires a payment gateway to be attached in order to safely and securely capture your customers payment information.
Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) accounts are currently incompatible with Bold Subscriptions. A standard Stripe account would be created if wanting to use a payment gateway. This is because Subscriptions uses a built-in checkout that is independent from Shopify's checkout.

Supported Payment Gateways
Below is the list of payment gateways that are currently integrated with Bold Subscriptions. To see which payment gateways will work best for your country, please see Spreedly - Payment Gateways by Country
Note: The "CVV/CVC required" setting within your payment gateway must be disabled. This is to prevent your subscription orders from being declined by your payment gateway.
Authorize.Net (Subscriptions is not currently compatible with the Advanced Fraud Detection Suite)
Bambora North America (This version only supports merchants within North America)
MasterCard Internet Gateway Service (MiGS)
Connecting your Payment Gateway to Subscriptions
To set up a payment gateway on your store, please follow these steps:
Within Shopify's admin, select Apps.
Select Bold Subscriptions.
From the Settings, select Payment Gateway.
Navigate to one of the supported payment gateways to set up an account.
Sign in to your payment gateway account.
Verify and update the Stripe account information.
Select Authorize access to this account.
Once this is set up, we highly recommend processing a test order through Subscriptions with a real credit card to ensure everything is set up correctly.
