Bold Cashier offers a lot of unique methods and features for capturing your customers payments, and making orders through the checkout easy.
Your customers can choose to save their credit cards for future purchases. This will require them to be logged into your store to use the saved credit card.
There's also the option for creating gift cards with email notifications, as well as connecting a trusted payment gateway to ensure that all the payments on your store process securely.
Bold Cashier gives you the flexibility to wait to capture payments from your customers. Some regions of the world require you to wait to capture payments until the product is ready to ship.
Enabling delayed payment capture will only authorize your customer's credit cards once they complete their order. From there, you'll need to fulfill the order and capture the payment in your Shopify admin.
To enable delayed payment capture, please navigate to Settings > General Settings within the Bold Cashier app. From here, you should see the option to Set up delayed payment capture.
Payment Authorizations may expire after a certain amount of time. Once they expire, you will not be able to capture payment. Please reach out to your Payment Gateway to get information on how long until a payment expires after authorization.
To capture payments for an order placed through Bold Cashier, follow these steps:
- From Shopify's admin, select Orders.
- Enter the Order Number in the search bar.
- Select the Order Number.
- Select More actions.
- Select Capture Payments.
- Enter a payment amount and select Capture $XX.XX.

Note: Bold Cashier, along with the payment gateways, tokenize (or vault) the payment information in a secure manner so it can be used in the future. Any indentifiable information (like credit card number or CVV) are not stored in our database.
