Bold Cashier allows you to offer a lot of unique methods to make your customer's purchase experience that much easier. For example, your customers can choose to save their credit cards for future purchases. This will require them to be logged into your store to use the saved credit card.
There's also the option for creating gift cards with email notifications, as well as connecting a trusted payment gateway to ensure that all the payments on your store process securely.

Bold Cashier captures payments directly through the payment gateway. This means that the process of creating refunds for your customer orders would be different than your standard Shopify orders.
Refunds can be created via your Shopify Admin > Orders tab which is recommended, but can also be made directly via the Bold Cashier app.

Bold Cashier uses its own checkout on your store that is connected to a payment gateway. This means that Shopify Gift Cards are unable to be accepted by your customer using our checkout.
To ensure that your customers still have access to the gift card feature, you are able to create them directly through Bold Cashier. This also includes the ability to fully customize your emails that are associated with providing gift cards to your stores customers.

Bold Cashier integrates with many different payment gateways to ensure that you are able to find one that can properly support your store. Each payment gateway is able to offer a unique suite of features such as anti-fraud and additional financial reporting analytics.

Bold Cashier gives you the flexibility to wait to capture payments from your customers. Some regions of the world require you to wait to capture payments until the product is ready to ship.
Enabling delayed payment capture will only authorize your customer's credit cards once they complete their order. From there, you'll need to fulfill the order and capture the payment in your Shopify admin.
To enable delayed payment capture, please navigate to Settings > General Settings within the Bold Cashier app. From here, you should see the option to Set up delayed payment capture.
Payment Authorizations may expire after a certain amount of time. Once they expire, you will not be able to capture payment. Please reach out to your Payment Gateway to get information on how long until a payment expires after authorization.
To capture payments for an order placed through Bold Cashier, follow the steps below.
- From the Shopify admin, select Orders.
- Enter the Order Number in the search bar.
- Select the Order Number.
- Select More actions.
- Select Capture Payments.
- Enter a payment amount and select Capture $XX.XX.
Note: To capture the full amount of the order, select Full Capture instead.
Bold Cashier charges monthly transaction fees. If your credit card is no longer valid or has expired, please follow the steps below on how to update your credit card.
- Within the Cashier admin, navigate to Account > Stored Credit Card.
- Select the pencil icon to edit your credit card.
- Enter your credit card information.
- Select Save.
The way Bold Cashier integrates with the various payment gateways, it is able to remember your customer's credit card information for future purchases. This only saves the credit card if your customers select the option to do so while they check out with their order.
Note: Bold Cashier, along with the payment gateways, tokenize (or vault) the payment information in a secure manner so it can be used in the future. Any identifiable information (like credit card number or CVV) are not stored in our database.
If you are looking to delete a payment gateway from your Bold Cashier app completely, you will need to also delete all the stored payment information for your customers associated to that gateway.
To delete a customer's store credit card information from Cashier, please follow the steps below.
- From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
- Select Bold Cashier, then Customers.
- Select the X (delete) next to the customers card who you would like to delete, then select OK.
