Identify Your Version of Bold Subscriptions

Bold has two versions of Bold Subscriptions: Subscriptions V1 and Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout. This article will help you identify which version you have installed on your store.

Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout was released November 2nd, 2020. If you installed Bold Subscriptions before November 2nd, 2020, you likely have Subscriptions V1.

Alert: Subscriptions V1 is no longer available for new installations.

It's important to note that Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout is not an upgrade from Subscriptions V1 — it's a completely different app.

Determine your store's version

Within Bold Subscriptions, the version information will appear on the top left corner. This will be displayed above the Dashboard section of the sidebar menu.

To determine the version your store is currently on for Bold Subscriptions, please follow the steps below.

From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
Select Bold Subscriptions.
On the top left corner, view the header of the menu.
The version will be displayed here:

Pricing: Subscriptions V1 has two built-in price plans for different types of offers being created. Payment Gateways: Has a list of third party payment gateways that can be connected through Bold Subscriptions, such as Stripe and Braintree. Your store must use Shopify Payments, PayPal Express, or Authorize.net to process your customer's payments.
