Reports & Analytics in Bold Checkout

Bold Checkout uses its own checkout to process your customer's orders. Because of this, the app has its own section for managing abandoned carts and managing orders that are generated in Bold Checkout.

The order's last updated date, name (if added by the customer), email address (if added by the customer) and a link to the customer's abandoned cart will be recorded in Bold Checkout for your reviewal. When an abandoned cart email has been sent to the customer, the email status will reflect that an email has been sent, along with a time stamp indicating when the email was sent to the customer.

When an order is successfully generated, has failed to generate (failed payment) or exported from another store that was generated from Bold Checkout, the order will be recorded in Bold Checkout under Order > All Orders. This allows you to manage, edit or view information about an order that was processed through Bold Checkout.

This help article will go into further detail on managing orders that were processed through Checkout, as well as managing orders that were abandoned by customers.

Order Management

When a customer has purchased an order through Bold Checkout, all of these orders can be viewed within the Checkout admin. They can be found within  Orders > All Orders. When an order fails to generate, a record will be created only in Bold Checkout - along with an error message stating why the order failed to generate.

Orders can be searched by using the order number or email address that was used for the order using the search bar at the top of the page.

If an order cannot be located using the search bar, you can also use the search filters available below the search bar to narrow down your search results. The search filters that are currently available are the following.

  • Date Range - Allows you to set a start and end date for when the order was created or imported into your store.
  • Payment Status - Allows you to filter orders based on a payment status that the order is set to. For example, only orders that have a status of Paid or Pending can be shown, while all other statuses are hidden.
  • Fulfillment Status - Allows you to filter orders that are either fulfilled, partially fulfilled (if multiple products were added into the order), or unfulfilled.
  • Created in WooCommerce - Allows you to filter orders that were either created from within WooCommerce (usually successful orders), or orders that were not generated from WooCommerce (failed orders).

After entering in an order number, email address or using one of the four search filters, selecting the blue search icon will present order results based on the search filters used:

All orders that are presented will show the date that the order was generated, the WooCommerce Order ID, the customer email address, the payment status of the order, fulfillment status, order total, and an actions ellipsis where you can edit the order such as capturing a payment, fulfilling an order or refunding an order.

Abandoned Cart Management

When a customer reaches the Bold checkout, adds a name or email address and then closes the checkout, the customer's abandoned checkout will be recorded in Bold Checkout under Orders > Abandoned Carts.

You cannot view abandoned carts until you activate and have customized the abandoned cart emails.

Each abandoned cart that is recorded in Bold Checkout includes the last updated date that the customer made a change in the checkout, the customer's name and email address, a direct link to the customer's abandoned checkout, a status of whether an automated email has been sent to the customer or not and a time stamp for when the abandoned email was sent.

Abandoned carts can be filtered by date within Bold Checkout to help you identify which customers are leaving the checkout. To apply a date filter, simply add a start date and an end date under Orders > Abandoned Carts, and select Filter Dates.

Filter Dates

You can even export abandoned carts from Bold Checkout into a CSV file by selecting the Export Table button next to the search filter.

Export Table

Selecting the export button will generate a CSV file for all of the abandoned cart records that appear on the results table below. This means that you can either export a list of all of your abandoned carts from the beginning of time to the present date, or based on a start and end date used in the search results.

Audit Logs

Audit logs in Bold Checkout outline changes that have been made to the app.

The audit logs can be viewed within the Bold Checkout admin by selecting Account, then select Audit Logs.
