Discount code not applying to subscription in Bold Subscriptions, how can this be resolved?

Why is a discount code not applying to a subscription within the Bold Subscriptions app, and how can this be fixed? The discount code shows in the app, but the subscription price doesn't reflect the discount.

The product price will not appear visually discounted in the customer portal or the admin. The discount code, if showing in the app, should function as expected and apply at the time of the next order processing.
