Subscription Policies for Bold Subscriptions V2

In compliance with Shopify policies when using Subscriptions V2, a link to your subscription policies will be included. This article will show you where this link is displayed, as well as show you how to set up your subscription policy in Shopify.


If you are using the App Widget Block on Shopify 2.0 themes, your customers will be directed to a 404 error page if your subscription policy is not set up. When using the standard widget, Shopify will display their default template until your own policy is set up.

It is recommended to update the policy as your store requires, as you are responsible for your published policies. For more information, please visit Shopify’s article: Adding store policies.



The link to your subscription policy is displayed in both the cart page and subscription widget when using the App Widget Block on Shopify 2.0 themes. If you are using the standard subscription widget, it will be displayed on the cart page only.

  1. From the Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Policies.
  2. Scroll down to Purchase options cancellation policy.
  3. Enter your policy details, or select Replace with template to amend Shopify's default template to your store's requirements.

  4. Select Save.
