Node & rePete
rePete integrates with Node, a customer app that delivers reorder nudges directly to a shopper's device without requiring them to create an account or share a personal email address. This means two things:
Node-using customers can receive on-device rePete notifications through a secure, spam-free channel.
When a Node-using customer shows up on your site as a "guest," rePete can still recognize them to display the rePete widget.
Both are designed to give merchants a reliable way to reach more customers and drive repeat purchases.
How it works
When a customer who has Node installed completes a purchase on a store using rePete, rePete sends reorder nudge signals to Node. Node then delivers those nudges directly to the customer's device.
Customers receive nudges through Node using a secure Commerce Token instead of a personal email address. This keeps communications spam-free and phishing-resistant, and means customers are opted in to receive nudges by default.
No account creation or sign-up is required for customers to receive nudges through Node.
Setup
For existing Node users
No setup is required. If a customer already has Node installed and makes a purchase on a store using rePete, they will automatically receive rePete nudges through Node.
Optional: Add the Node app block to your thank you page
If you want to prompt customers to download Node after checkout, you can add the Node app block to your store's thank you page. This gives customers who don't yet have Node a way to opt in for a better reorder experience.
There are two ways to access the theme editor to add this block:
From the Shopify checkout editor:
In your Shopify admin, navigate to your checkout editor.
Go to the Thank you page.
Add the Node app block.
From the rePete admin:
In the rePete admin, go to General settings.
Scroll down to the Integrations section
Click the link to open the theme editor.
Navigate to the Thank you page.
Add the Node app block.
Note: For general guidance on editing your thank you page in Shopify, refer to Shopify's theme editor documentation.
Important considerations
Node is a customer app. Merchants do not control how Node delivers messages to customers.
Customers must have Node installed to receive nudges through this channel. The thank you page app block is one way to encourage customers to download it.
rePete sends timing signals to Node. Node handles message delivery.
