rePete Discounts Overview

rePete lets you create flexible, tiered discounts to reward customers and encourage repeat orders.

This article explains how rePete discounts work and how customers qualify for them.

Functionality

In rePete, discounts are created and managed using discount groups. Discount groups let you:

  • Set a discount percentage.

  • Create tiered discounts that increase or decrease based on a customer’s order count.

  • Choose which rePete products are eligible for a discount.

  • Create multiple discount groups for different sets of products.

Tiered discounts

Tiered discounts help incentivize repeat orders by offering better discounts over time. For example, you can offer a 10% discount for a customer’s first rePete order (order count 1), then increase it to 15% for their second order (order count 2), and so on.

Tiered discounts are based only on the number of reorders a customer has placed, not the quantity of products in a single order.

All reorders are counted, but discounts are only offered and applied to reorders placed through rePete channels.

Discount stacking

rePete discounts are product-level discounts powered by Shopify Functions. This means you can choose whether rePete discounts can stack with other discounts running in your store.

Stacking is controlled by the following combination settings:

  • Product combinations: When enabled, a rePete discount can apply on the same order as other product discounts. Each product can only have one discount applied to it, but with this setting enabled, different products in the same order can each have their own product discount.

  • Order combinations: When enabled, a Shopify order discount can be applied to the full order total even when a rePete discount is present.

  • Shipping combinations: When enabled, a Shopify shipping discount can be applied to the order even when a rePete discount is present.

Limitations

rePete discounts are tied to a specific product and customer. For a discount to apply, the customer must be logged in or use the same email address at checkout that is associated with their rePete predicted schedule.
