Uninstall Bold Discounts from Your Store

  • Updated

Before removing Bold Discounts from your store, it is important to turn off any active discount groups and allow them to complete their sync. This allows the app to fully revert your prices back to their original state. If this step is skipped, your prices remain discounted and need to be reverted manually.

Bold Discounts does not require a liquid code installation on your theme in order to apply discounts to your products. Removing the code is only necessary if you've had the duplicate & hide code installed on your theme and are looking to use an app that may conflict with this.

Note: If you are removing the app in result of a feature or setting complication, or are having troubles with functionality, please reach out to our Customer Success team and let us know. We are here to help!

  5. Wait for the sync to complete.

2. Remove Discounts from your Shopify Admin

To remove Bold Discounts from your store, simply navigate to your Shopify Settings > Apps and sales channels, and select uninstall next to Bold Discounts.

3. Remove Discounts Liquid Code from your Theme

Discounts does not require liquid code to function on your store. Removing the code is only necessary if you've had code installed for the duplicate and hide feature and are planning on using an app that may conflict. Some examples of apps that may conflict with this code are:

  • Discounts Powered by Bold Price Rules
  • Bold Custom Pricing V1 or V2
  • Bold Bundles V1 or V2
  • Third party apps which use draft orders

If you have a backup theme from before the liquid code was added, you can simply republish that theme.

To manually remove the code, you can visit the Installation Guide for Bold Discounts and remove the relevant snippets, files, and code found in your theme files.

Note: Please complete manual code removals on a backup theme on your store. Manual code removals require knowledge of the Shopify liquid code.

A ticket request can also be submitted to our expert installation team to remove the liquid code from your store. Please contact our Customer Success team by creating a ticket.

All of these requests are completed manually on a rotational basis, and will be completed as soon as possible.
