Order Experience & Channels Overview
rePete proactively nudges your customers to reorder through a variety of channels and guides them through the checkout experience from reminder to purchase.
This article provides an overview of how rePete drives reorders, the channels used to reach customers, and what happens after a customer clicks a reorder link.
Reorder nudge reminders
rePete actively nudges customers to reorder using automated reminders. These nudges are the primary way rePete drives repeat purchases.

Each reminder includes a clear Reorder link that allows customers to proceed with their purchase.
Additional order channels
In addition to proactive nudge reminders, rePete provides additional ways for customers to place orders without waiting for a nudge.
The rePete Buy Button can be added to product pages to allow customers to purchase your rePete Products directly. Using the Buy Button automatically enables faster checkout through One Click Reorders when customers receive future rePete reorder reminders.
The rePete Customer Portal allows customers to place reorders, review eligible products, manage their nudge reminder preferences, and more. The Customer Portal does not nudge customers but supports reorders and self-service management.
Checkout experience
After a customer clicks a reorder link from a nudge or other order channel, rePete guides them through one of two checkout experiences based on your configuration.
Smart Cart enabled (default): Customers are taken to a personalized cart page where they can see and add recommended products before completing their purchase. By default, customers are prompted to enable One Click Reorder on future nudges for that product. For more information, please visit Smart Cart.
Smart Cart disabled: Customers are directed to the rePete order summary widget on your store where they can confirm their order and then complete their checkout in Shopify. After the first reorder is completed, One Click Reorder is automatically enabled by default on future nudges for that product.

One Click Reorder
When One Click Reorder is enabled, the customer’s payment information is securely saved. This allows them to complete future rePete reorders without re-entering their payment information in the Shopify checkout.

Reorder verification
Customers reordering from email or SMS reminders must verify their identity using a one-time code sent to their email address.
If Smart Cart is enabled, verification is only required once. After successful verification, future reorders do not require code verification.
If Smart Cart is disabled, verification is required if the reorder link is clicked more than five days after the reminder was sent.
