Create a Subscription Email Offer

A Subscription Email offer lets you promote add-on products directly inside the upcoming-order notification email that Bold Subscriptions sends to subscribers before their next renewal. 


Before you start

  • Bold Upsell is installed and active on your store.

  • Bold Subscriptions is installed and active on your store.


Step 1: Choose Subscription Email as the offer type

From the Bold Upsell admin, navigate to Manual Offers, click Create Offer, and select Subscription Email. This offer type has a preset location in the subscription management portal, so you do not need to choose a location.

Step 2: Configure the offer

On the configuration page, set up what the shopper sees and when the offer appears.

Choose your trigger products

Choose which subscription products trigger the email offer.

  1. Click Select products.

  2. Choose one or more products, specific variants, or a collection.

    Note: The products selected as the trigger should be available as a subscription in order to be included in the upcoming subscription order email.

  3. Click Select.

Offer product

Select the product you want to promote in the email. Pick something that pairs naturally with the subscription, like a refill, an accessory, or a complementary item.

Optional: Add conditions

Conditions control when the offer is eligible to appear:

  • Date range - Run the offer only between a start and end date.

Step 3: Save and publish

Click Create Offer to save your changes, then toggle the offer to Active. The offer will be included in upcoming-order emails sent by Bold Subscriptions from that point forward.


Tips for high-performing Subscription Email offers

  • Promote add-ons that extend or enhance the subscriber's existing routine.

  • Keep the headline under 50 characters so it renders cleanly on mobile email clients.

  • Use a clear, action-oriented button label like Add to next order.

  • Rotate the offer product periodically to keep emails fresh for long-term subscribers.
