Why are discounts not applying to products?

Discounts not appearing.

There can be several reason a discount is not appearing on your products. These are as follows:

  1. Incomplete install - The most common issue is an incomplete or incorrect install. Custom Pricing must be properly installed in order to discount your products. Please ask to speak to our team if you are unable to troubleshoot the issue. Our team is happy to perform an expert installation.
  2. Not logged in or incorrect tags - If you have set up customer-specific pricing you must be logged into the storefront with a properly tagged account in order to see discounts. Tags are case sensitive and must be added to the customer profile in Shopify account exactly as they appear in Custom Pricing.
  3. Your fixed price in Custom Pricing is higher than the product price - Fixed prices that are set higher than the product price will be disregarded. 
  4. Products do not have discounts - Ensure the products are discounted in Custom Pricing. For instructions on how to create your discounts, please visit: https://support.boldcommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044735071.

If the discounts are appearing on the product page but are not being applied to the order, make sure you do not have a Buy Now button or third-party checkout button such as Apple Pay or Google Pay on the product page. These buttons skip the necessary add to cart function Custom Pricing requires to apply the discount. Third-party checkout buttons can be placed on the checkout page.
